The ambience at Timothy’s is relaxing and welcoming. Refurbished only this summer with a fresh new look, the main seating area has well-spaced tables as well as booths and we are happy to move tables together for larger groups. Around the corner, we have a generous coffee lounge with subdued lighting and comfy chairs. There is outside seating too which is popular in good weather and dogs are also welcome at these tables.
Reservations are highly recommended, especially at weekends, for both breakfast and lunch, but if it’s fairly quiet, choose your own table.
We have full cooked breakfasts or simply eggs on toast as options to start the day. For lunch you might choose a burger, salad or sharing platter, jacket potato or lighter snack. We also have a children’s menu for little ones. Our tempting cake counter has freshly baked scones, slices of cake and tray bakes. We serve freshly ground coffees, belgian hot chocolate and assorted teas. We have still and sparkling cold drinks, juices and alcoholic beverages.
Choosing food locally is beneficial to your health, your community and your local environment and we are firm believers in supporting food producers local to us. By developing relationships with our suppliers nearby, we have a meaningful understanding of what is involved to make, rear or grow the food that we cook with, and the stories behind the people that make it happen.
Quality ingredients are an essential part of what we create and we are incredibly proud to support excellent local suppliers whenever possible. Sometimes we do have to look a little further afield, seafood being an obvious hurdle, in which circumstance, we endeavour to support local wholesale networks. We truly have some of the finest produce on our doorstep in and around the Cotswolds.
Our bread and pastries come from a baker near Stratford who uses traditional methods, natural flavours and no synthetic preservatives. Our bacon comes from a family business near Broadway which has been established for over 30 years and our fish comes from Cirencester. We use our own in-house butcher David Moore meat and make our own sausages. Our berries come from a fruit farm in Cropthorne, herbs come from a nursery in Lower Moor and we use the free-range woodland eggs which are also sold in our food hall.
“I am passionate about getting to know the farmers, butchers and bakers who produce the raw ingredients we cook with. Each local supplier has been selected because they offer something unique and I know that our ingredients are as fresh as they possibly can be. I am very proud of having a sustainable food supply chain. The food tastes better, the community thrives and the environment thanks us for it.
One supplier I have a particular connection with is our fruit and veg producer based near Evesham. I marvel at the journey from seed to harvest and even take my camera on-site visits to the fields to capture what I see.”
We serve Hooray’s gelato ice cream at Timothy’s – an independent gelato kitchen based in Stratford-upon-Avon run by mother and daughter team, Sara and Sasha. Their mouth-watering flavours range from classic vanilla to novelty newbies like Snickers and Oreo Cookies! Served in a cup or waffle cone, add a sauce and sprinkles, or make it a milkshake.
