Christmas Has Arrived

Christmas is finally here… The long wait has finally paid off and it is officially the countdown to Christmas here at Fosseway Garden Centre! Christmas adverts have started to appear on television and the lights are bright and twinkling in your local towns. The festive spirit is well and truly here.

When it comes to decorating your homes this year, there’s no doubt you’ll want to visit your local garden centre to see all of the new seasonal decorations we have to offer. From Christmas trees to garlands and wreaths, you can find it all here at Fosseway Garden Centre.

Activities at Fosseway Garden Centre This Christmas

Christmas Wreath Making

Come and get into the festive spirit with our Christmas Wreath Making Workshop! On the 14th & 17th of December, we are hosting a wreath making activity with our very own florist Hannah. All the materials will be supplied to you, all you will need to bring is your own scissors or secateurs. At the end of the day, you will have your very own wreath to take home and hang on your front door.

Santa’s Grotto

Would your little one like to meet Santa and his helpful Elves? From 26th November right up to 21st December you and your child have the opportunity to meet Santa and tell him what they would like for Christmas. Tickets can be bought online or in store and entry price to the Grotto includes a children’s activity and a gift from Santa!

Tea with Santa

Or perhaps you would like to have tea with Santa Claus himself. On the 9th, 16th & 21st of December Santa is going to be visiting Fosseway Garden Centre to read the children a story and then sit and eat dinner with them. A magical treat not to be missed! Buy your tickets online before they sell out!

Decorating Your Home this Season

Christmas Trees

Nothing makes your home feel as cosy and Christmassy as a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. Whether you decide to go for a frosted artificial or a real Nordman Fir, whichever you choose it is going to make your home look and feel festive. However when choosing between these two tree types you may want to take into consideration the pros and cons.

Artificial Trees

Artificial trees are a great way to make your home look and feel as seasonal as possible without the mess and hassle that surrounds having a real tree. Not to mention the fact if you take good care of your artificial tree it could last you up to 10 years! All you need to do at the end of December is pack your tree up in it’s original boxing and put it in your loft till next year. We have a range of artificial trees here at Fosseway Garden centre, from Imperial Pine to Nordman Fir.

Real Trees

There’s just something special about a real tree. Perhaps it is the trip down to the local garden centre with the children, Christmas songs playing in the car, as you go to pick your favourite tree. Or maybe it’s the smell of pine needles that fill your home all Christmas. Nothing is better than walking into your home after a hard days work to be hit by the beautiful smell of pine.

But really it doesn’t matter which you prefer, both our artificial trees and our real trees will make your home look fantastic this Christmas.
