There are so many options available, when faced with a row of shiny new machines that all look similar at first, it can feel a bit overwhelming. The most important consideration is the size of your lawn. A lawn bigger than 600 metres square will require a petrol or robotic mower. For a lawn smaller than this, a cordless or electric mower will suffice.
Cordless mowers have a wealth of benefits thanks to Lithium-ion batteries with their long run times and fast charging ability. There are no fuel emissions, running costs are low and they require very little maintenance.
For excellent value for money, you can’t beat an electric mower – lightweight and also easy to maintain.
Petrol mowers are perfect for larger lawns and engine sizes vary to suit your lawn. With a larger engine size you get a wider mowing deck so mowing time is reduced. Petrol mowers also have drive options to consider. Mowers with no drive are push-along mowers and those with single-speed drive move at a constant speed without the need of pushing. Mowers with a variable-speed motor give you the option of changing speed so you can slow down around flower beds or trees.
A robotic mower does the work for you and once programmed, it automatically cut your lawn and self-charges, with app connectivity for full control. Another decision to make is whether you want to collect grass cuttings or choose to mulch – the more environmentally friendly option. Mowers with mulching kits finely shred the grass, dropping it back onto the lawn as a natural fertiliser with no need for chemicals, and no need to dispose of the cut grass.
iMow is one of the fastest robotic mowers available, mowing automatically and according to your garden’s needs. The built-in sensors safely react to moving and static objects within the garden, turning the iMow in a different direction without contact. The iMow app gives you full control via your mobile device. Configure the mowing plan, pause or start mowing operations and read status messages and performance data.
As specialists, we take care of the delivery and installation of your iMow which requires a thin wire to be fitted around the lawn perimeter, getting you set up, ready to relax knowing your lawn is taken care of.
If you have a sizeable plot of land than additional equipment may be required. Our ride-on mowers can tow specialist equipment and trailers. We can supply lawn care systems, flail mowers, sweepers and more.
